Think Before you Act

If you are thinking of bringing a court case against somebody or suing a company, you should be sure that you have an excellent chance of winning the case before you get too far or you could just end up with a hefty bill for court and lawyers costs without any real hopes of success.

Some of this is common sense, but sadly common sense is often one thing that leaves us when it comes down to the emotions of a perceived injustice.

Some people may be tempted to sue any business which they feel has treated them badly such as an exchange company not handling their money transaction at a Better Exchange Rate or an estate agent putting pressure on them to sell their house for a lower sum than they had wanted.

While it may be that a business does not treat you, as their customer, in the most professional manner and while you may genuinely be aggrieved, make sure that you do not act rashly and try to sue them when in fact they have acted within the law.

Try and think calmly in any case whether you have a genuine legal grievance as it is you and not the company who will end up paying the cost if you lose and you could end up worse off than you were in the first place.
